Welcome to Class 1
Class 1 is home to our reception (EYFS) children.
Our teacher is Mrs Wykes and our teaching assistants are Mrs Davis (mornings) and Miss Looms (afternoons).
Our classroom is a well organised, inviting and exciting place to learn where children access continuous provision alongside adult-led activities. We have our own Early Years garden with many opportunities for outdoor learning.

Spring Term 2 Enquiry Question - Would I rather be hot or cold?
Overview
Our new project enquiry question for the second half of the Spring Term is ‘Would you rather be hot or cold?’ This follows on from our previous half term’s learning about weather. We will be finding out about the polar regions and comparing and contrasting these with the UK and countries with a much warmer climate. We will learn how animals and humans adapt to the conditions and consider how travel to these areas has changed over time. We will explore the changes in our own environment as we move into the Spring. Our keys texts for this half term will include Lost and Found, Snow Bear, Handa’s Surprise and Giraffes Can’t Dance.
